In addition, the new City removes what was 2K21's biggest upgrade - the removal of load times NBA 2K22 MT. Even on PS5, you're going to be waiting for a long time every time you want to exit your house or leave the practice area. The City is just a clunky experience all around, and proof that larger doesn't necessarily mean better.
In my opinion, it's a lot of fun. It's clear that the defensive aspect on this occasion is as strong as it has been in years. It's much more easy to glide across the court and remain at home for your assignments this year. It's also refreshing to see fewer spectacular contact basketball this year. That was exhausting in 2k21.
Offensively, shooting feels somewhat more difficult, but that's mostly due to the enhanced defense, and not the mechanics of the shot meter. The passing ability is phenomenal on this particular shot. It is easy to handle the ball. The game has been fun for the couple of days the game was out.
2K22 is bringing back its tried and true shot meter following last year's change in polarization and I'm finding that in general I'm making more open shots at the beginning of my character's development than in the past Buy NBA 2K MT. It's a bit gruelling that I'm an NBA player and to be making a mess of shots all the time but I'm thinking that even less popular characters could be useful this time around.
